Welcome to our new Visiting Research Fellows: Karl Galinsky and Ya-pei Kuo!

The KHK is proud to welcome two new fellows in September: Karl Galinsky (Texas, USA) and Ya-pei Kuo (Leiden/ The Netherlands). 

Karl Galinsky, Full Profossor of Classics at University of Texas at Austin since 1972, received numerous, prestigious international fellowships and grants and was even awarded with the distinguished Max Planck Research Prize for International Cooperation in 2009. His field of expertise covers Roman civilization, literature, religion and art.

Ya-pei Kuo studied history at the National Taiwan University in Taipei and at the University Wisconsin-Madison (USA). Before joining us she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Tufts University (Medford/ Sommerville, USA) and hold a research fellowship at International Institute for Asian Studies at Leiden University. Her field of expertise covers the history of religion in China in the 19th and 20th century.
