“I know that each of you will be a warrior for the truth, will be a warrior for our country, and for your family”, Donald Trump proclaimed at the commencement speech at Liberty University in 2017. The talk addresses the question which role the media form of an evangelical university space might have played within the intermingling of religion and politics, masculinity and leadership in the United States since the early 1970s when TV-preacher Jerry Falwell founded Lynchburg Baptist College in Virginia that should become Liberty University in the 1980s.
