Institutionalisation of Islam in Germany

This research project deals with the institutional transformations that Islam is undergoing in Germany. The study focuses on several empirical case studies, including chairs for Islamic Theology at universities, the training of Islamic clergy, and teachers for religious education at public schools. The effects of religious encounter will receive specific attention.
