KHK Visiting Research Fellow 2018

Olga Kozubska is an historian and holds several degrees in history and fine art. She was awarded a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) with a dissertation on Urban Development and German Law in Galician Rus’ during the 13th – 15th Centuries at the Central European University, Budapest, in 2007.

From 2004 to 2012 Olga Kozubska was lecturer at the Department of Byzantine, Classical and Medieval Studies at the Ukrainian Catholic University. In 2014 and 2015, she was a researcher in the project “Long-Distance Trade and Multi-Religious Urban Communities in Eastern Europe (15th – 17th Centuries)” at the same institution. Since 2015, Olga Kozubska has been working in the project “Investing in the Past: Medieval Europe in the Globalized 21st Century” at Fern-Universität Hagen. During her academic career, Olga Kozubska has been a research fellow at various institutes in Ukraine, Germany, and the UK.

Most recently, Olga Kozubska has been working on her monograph Urban development in Eastern Europe during the Middle Ages: A Case of Galician Rus’.
