We were just informed of the sad fact that Joan Westenholz passed away yesteday. She had been a visiting research fellow with us from 2009 to 2010 and enriched the discussions at the KHK by virtue of her comprehensive knowledge regarding the religious and cultural history of the ancient near east and her outstandingly warm and friendly character. We are mourning the death of a beloved colleague.
